STEP 1

Remove the existing shifter from the shifter assembly.

STEP 2

Slide the Clamp Adapter over the shifter assembly shaft. The Clamp Adapter should easily slide over the shifter assembly shaft.

- If the Clamp Adapter is too tight, it may not be the right size for your vehicle. Do not force the Clamp Adapter over the shifter assembly shaft as this could permanently damage the adapter. If you are experiencing this issue, please contact us.

- If the Clamp Adapter is too loose, it may not be the right size for your vehicle. If there is more than 2-3mm of play, do not attempt to tighten the bolts on the Clamp Adapter. The Clamp Adapter may be permanently damaged if you try and clamp down an adapter that is too large for the shaft. If you are experiencing this issue, please contact us.

STEP 3

Gently tighten all four screws on the Clamp Adapter in small, even increments to allow a test fit of the shifter. Start by tightening both screws on the left, then both screws on the right. Tighten the screws enough so that the Clamp Adapter is secure.

- Do not over-tighten the screws. The screws do not require excessive force to provide a strong clamp on your shifter assembly. If the screws are over-tightened, the adapter may be permanently damaged.

STEP 4

Thread the shifter onto the Clamp Adapter until it reaches the end of the threads. Do not over-tighten the shifter at this point. If the logo on the shifter is facing your preferred direction, continue to STEP 6. If the logo on the shifter is not facing your preferred direction, continue to STEP 5.

STEP 5

If the logo on the shifter is misaligned when installed, take note of the number of degrees that the logo is off from the desired position. Remove the shifter and slightly loosen the screws on the Clamp Adapter. Rotate the Clamp Adapter by the same amount of degrees. Retighten the screws. Reinstall the shifter to check the logo alignment and repeat the adjustments if necessary.

- For example: if the logo on the shifter is facing 6 o’clock and you require it to face 12 o’clock, rotate the Clamp Adapter by 180 degrees.

STEP 6

Remove the shifter. Gently tighten all four screws in small, even increments. Start by tightening both screws on the left, then both screws on the right. Repeat each side until all four screws are firm.

- Do not over-tighten the screws. The screws do not require excessive force to provide a strong clamp on the shifter assembly. If the screws are over-tightened, the adapter may be permanently damaged.

STEP 7

Thread your shifter onto the Clamp Adapter and tighten firmly.
